Introduction & Explanation

This project involved a complete replaster of the living room and stairwell walls throughout a residential property in Thanet. The work formed part of a larger renovation, with the plastering needed to bring all surfaces up to a clean, consistent standard ready for decoration.

The living room required full wall plastering across multiple surfaces, working carefully around existing electrical sockets, fuse boards and wiring that remained in place throughout. All areas were properly prepped and primed before plaster was applied to ensure a strong bond and smooth finish across the full wall area.

The hallway and stairwell presented their own challenges due to the angles and height involved, with plastering carried out across the full run of walls from ground floor through to the upper landing. All surfaces were protected throughout and left clean and ready for the decorator to follow on.

Outcome & Insights

The completed replaster left every surface smooth, consistent and ready for painting, giving the client a clean slate across all the main living and circulation areas of the property.

Jobs like this are a key part of any serious renovation. No matter how good the decoration is, it will only ever be as good as the surface underneath it. Getting the plastering right at this stage saves time, money and frustration further down the line.
