Introduction & Explanation

This project involved carrying out external rendering work to the front of a residential property. The existing exterior had become worn and uneven in several areas, with visible patching, damaged sections and tired finishes across the front elevation.

Scaffolding was set up to allow safe access to the upper sections of the property, and the surrounding windows, doors and bay window were carefully protected before work began. The surface was then prepared, with loose and damaged areas addressed before applying a fresh external render finish across the main front wall.

The work also included attention around the window reveals, bay section, lower walls and front boundary areas to create a consistent finish across the property frontage.

Outcome & Insights

The completed render gave the property a much cleaner and more uniform appearance from the street. The previous patchy and weathered exterior was replaced with a fresh white finish, making the home look brighter, better maintained and more appealing.

For a front-facing property, external appearance has a major impact on first impressions. This project improved the overall kerb appeal while also helping protect the exterior walls from further weathering.

The result is a sharp, refreshed frontage that looks more modern, more cared for and far more presentable from the road.
