Introduction & Explanation
This project involved the complete replacement of severely deteriorated timber windows on a period property in Thanet. The existing units had reached the end of their lifespan, with rotten frames, failed seals, single glazing and little to no thermal efficiency remaining.
Following a full assessment, we removed every existing window and supplied bespoke anthracite grey double-glazed units manufactured to fit the original openings. Particular care was taken to preserve the character of the property whilst significantly improving its performance, security and appearance.
Outcome & Insights
The transformation was immediate. The modern anthracite grey frames completely refreshed the exterior of the building, creating a cleaner and more contemporary appearance while remaining sympathetic to the property's original brickwork.
From a practical standpoint, the upgrade delivered substantial improvements in energy efficiency, weather protection and home security. Replacing outdated single-glazed units with modern double glazing has helped reduce heat loss, eliminate drafts and create a more comfortable living environment throughout the property.
